Gates of the yenisei: group excursion to the krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station

This excursion will take you to where two grandiose creations of man and nature meet – the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station and the Siberian Yenisei. In a group of up to 19 people, you will be inspired by taiga landscapes on the Tsar-Ryba observation deck, walk along the most beautiful embankment of Divnogorsk, and in the final you will find yourself at the giant dam separating the Yenisei and the Krasnoyarsk Sea.

What awaits you

The observation deck of the Tsar-Ryba. From a 50-meter cliff you will admire the powerful hero Yenisei - this is not a modest beauty of the Volga! You will look around the endless taiga and feel as if you have hovered over the river. Here we will remember the Siberian writer Astfiev, in whose memory a giant sturgeon is installed on the site.

Divnogorsk. Here you will appreciate the embankment that won the AD Design Award 2020. But the most impressive, of course, are the rocks on the opposite bank of the Yenisei – you will see that the city got its name for a reason.

The Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant is one of the largest technical structures in Siberia. You will be greeted by a dam 120 meters high, blocking the largest river in Russia. We will go to the ridge, which will offer the best view of the Krasnoyarsk Sea on one side and the Yenisei strip on the other. And the majestic spectacle will be complemented by facts about the history of the hydroelectric power station and its unique characteristics.
