Secrets of the underground balaklava

Balaclava is one of the places where top-secret facilities began to be built in the early years of the nuclear era. It is difficult to imagine that colossal level of tension, but a tour of previously inaccessible complexes will immerse you in the atmosphere of time as much as possible. You will visit abandoned cruise missile bases, pass through the bunkers of coastal batteries and discover the secrets of the structures of the atomic world.

What awaits you

Karani Plateau
The journey will begin from a picturesque place on the Karan for a fee, where 21 coastal batteries of pre-revolutionary construction lurk far from people. You will inspect the soldiers' cockpits, walk through the corridors of the fortress and come to the stunning cliffs, from which fascinating views of the Balaklava water area and Cape Fiolent open.

Fort South
Next, we will climb by car to Mount Asketi, where the military fort built before the First World War is located. You will look into the trenches and casemates, appreciate their excellent acoustics and admire the stunning view of Cape Aya.

Utyos Coastal Missile System (Object 100)
A special part of the program will be a visit to the once secret base. You'll see a nuclear missile storage facility. Through the gloomy corridors, I will lead you to rocket launchers, diesel generator sets and life support units. You will learn about the secrets of building this base in the mountains, and about the secrets that continue to be kept here. And in addition, I will talk about the features of the construction of a top-secret submarine base in the Balaklava Bay itself.
