Pskov Krom – the birthplace of the city
From the first minutes on a picturesque hill near two rivers you will plunge into the past. I will talk about how the fortress walls of the Kremlin were used to protect these lands, and about the role that Pskov played in the history of the country. We will pay special attention to the theme of the Middle Ages - we will discuss how people of that time lived and thought, imagine what they felt. On the territory of Krom you will visit the Trinity Cathedral and explore the Dovmontov city, where you will hear about the life and glorious victories of the holy prince Dovmont. If you wish, you will admire the views from one of the towers.
Sightseeing walk with a
historical accent
The main square of Pskov is named after Lenin - nothing surprising, right? You'll realize that's not quite the case when you hear her story. Walking through the streets of Pskov, remember Princess Olga, who took revenge on the Drevlians, and explore the features of the church architecture of the 15-16th centuries. the Route will pass near the Pokrovskaya Tower, whose powerful walls will tell about the battle of the Pskovians with the troops of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - the largest military event in the fate of the city was depicted by the artist Karl Bryullov. At the end of the tour, if desired, we will go to the monument to Alexander Nevsky, where I will talk about the causes and significance of the Ice Battle.
