Red Avenue – a reflection of the history of the city
On the square of engineer Budagov you will hear about the creation of Novosibirsk and find out who Garin-Mikhailovsky and Budagov are. And I will also tell you how the former mayor of the city influenced the appearance of the square. Next, I will show the first stone temple of Novosibirsk and Sverdlov Square, where the buildings of the famous local architect Kryachkov are concentrated.
Akademgorodok, unusual architecture and "box in the book"
Red Avenue is a storehouse of interesting buildings. You'll consider "The Clock House," "The Siberian Colosseum," and "Batman." Stop in the heart of the city – on Lenin Square – and find out what five characters surround his sculpture. Look into Akademgorodok without leaving the city, and see the palace where the Marshal of the Soviet Union lived. Drive under the Trans-Siberian Railway and reveal the secret of the "box in the book".
