Stories and secrets of saki resort: group tour

To understand and love the modest city of Saki, you need to get lost in the resort streets, follow the footsteps of Gogol and explore the secrets of the salty Saki Lake. On my walk, you will do all this - and also get acquainted with local legends, learn about the extraction of "black gold" and meet with the brontosaurus, which flaunts on the city coat of arms.

Along the main streets of the resort town
Acquaintance with the city will begin on the main square: it is here that you will learn how the settlement was formed on the site of modern Sak and where the resort was born. I will supplement the story with archival photographs that will help to imagine what the city was like in past eras. Then we will walk to the first park in the western Crimea, and in the Pushkin Square we will talk about the poet's connection with the cozy town. You will find a marble "stone of desires", be able to drink living water from a local source and understand why Saki is a truly fabulous town. At the end of the walk, I will take you to the monument on the shore of the lake, which the locals homely call Brontik, and tell you how it happened that the symbol of the Crimean city was not anyone, but a dinosaur!

Saki Lake: the history of "black gold"
Of course, acquaintance with Saki would be incomplete without a walk along its main natural attraction – the salty Saki Lake. On the shore of the reservoir you will learn what myths go around in the people about its healing power. I will talk about the Saka deposit of therapeutic mud, about what path the methods of mud therapy have passed from antiquity to the present day, about the resort history of Sak and the famous local health resorts. Surgeons Pirogov and Burdenko, writers Gogol and Lesya Ukrainka, admirals Makarov and Lazarev - you will learn about outstanding personalities who came to the resort town for healing mud baths.
