History
You will learn about the origins of the oldest and now operating House of Creativity, which arose with the light hand of the great Russian artist I.E. Repin. I will tell you about the amazing people who played a significant role in the history of Akademichka: kokorev, a merchant of the first guild, who founded the first public art gallery in Moscow in the 19th century, and the first director of the House of Creativity Kozelsky.

Routes of plein-air practices
Let's talk about the role of the Academic Dacha in the development of Russian painting. About the famous study by Repin, exhibited in the Russian Museum, and the diploma painting of Roerich, presented in the Tretyakov Gallery. You will see the places where entire creative dynasties drew inspiration - Levitines, Kugachi, Tkachevs, Tokarevs - and where painters from all over Russia are now coming. Take a walk through the ancient park, the banks of the Msta River and Lake Mstina, which were once part of the Vyshnevolets water system, created by Peter I.

Variations on a Theme
I offer several options, depending on the time you have and your wishes.

The basic program is an excursion only on the territory of the Academic Dacha: a visit to the museum, the grand-ducal pavilion, the exhibition hall during the exhibitions, the chapel of St. Nicholas, as well as a walk along the banks of the Msta and Mstina. Duration 1.5-2 hours; route - 1 km.
Basic program + visit to the village of Podil, 3 km from the Academic Dacha with an inspection of the restored House of the Pilot of the Petrine Era and the Zemstvo School of the late 19th century.
Basic program + visit to the people's art gallery in the village of Solnechnoye, 9 km from the Academic Dacha with an inspection of the chapel of St. Matrona of Moscow and the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Church in Leontyevo. Duration 4 hours.

Organizational details

You need to get to the Academic Dacha on your own - if you are not by car, from Vyshny Volochok you can take a bus with a direct route to the village of Maly Gorodok, the journey time is about 40 minutes
Visiting Podil and the Solar Art Gallery is possible only on your transport
