Exhibition "vadim galaganov. not for everyone."

The exhibition at erarta Museum shows photographs through which Vadim Galaganov seeks to move away from the posthuman ideal of beauty in the direction of an honest nature.

Erarta Museum invites to the exhibition Vadim Galaganov, a famous Moscow stylist who headed the fashion department of the Russian ELLE and collaborated with Vincent Cassel, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Campbell, Gerard Butler and other stars. Behind him are projects for Vogue, GQ, L'Officiel and other cult glossy publications.

Not for Everyone is Galaganov's exploration of the relationship between fashion and beauty. The 46 images are divided into four series— Codes, Lani, Post-atom Age, and The Equinox. Each is a complete story.

Galaganov says that gloss imposes certain limits on the photographer and limits the scope of creativity. This project for him is an opportunity for an open statement without regard to the dogmas of the fashion industry.

In the author's photographs, the naked body is the embodiment of freedom of expression. The compositions with stage light solved in black and white give a reference to the aesthetics of the masters of photography of the XX century. Beauty is perceived here as an aesthetic truth. Fashionable photography returns to the territory of fine art!
