Exhibition "bosch and brueghel: mysteries of the mystical era"

Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder are mysterious masters of the Northern Renaissance, whose canvases are filled with signs and allegories. You can immerse yourself in the incredible mystical universes of the two artists at the exhibition of reproductions at the VEKARTA Gallery.

Dutch mystery artists Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder painted very few paintings in their lifetime. Those that have survived to this day are scattered in museums and private collections around the world, and their originals are practically inaccessible to the general public. However, Muscovites have the opportunity to plunge into the mysterious worlds of the two masters and appreciate their iconic works, thanks to reproductions: for example, the exhibition presents Bosch's legendary triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights" in its original size.

All reproductions are made in full size in the giclee technique. We are not talking about artistic copies, but about reproductions of the originals on canvas while preserving the smallest details - from the texture of the stroke to the cracks of the varnish. Each canvas is accompanied by a detailed description of the plot, and 10 paintings are equipped with decipherments of symbols, so that guests can get in touch with the secrets of great artists.

The exhibition also features reproductions of the works of the younger Brueghels to the third generation of the dynasty. In their works, you can trace how mystical images have changed over the decades.

You can study the exhibition as part of an individual or group excursion.
